“High” 是 The Chainsmokers 從2020年宣布要專心籌備第四張專輯後，於2022年1月28日帶來的新單曲。
2020 年 2 月 24 日，The Chainsmokers 宣布他們將暫停社交媒體，專注於創作他們的第四張目前未命名的錄音室專輯。 2022 年 1 月 6 日，兩人在將近兩年後終於走出了沉寂，宣布即將發行“HIGH”，這是他們自 2019 年以來的第一首新音樂。
The Chainsmokers 是來自紐約市的DJ二人組，由 Andrew Taggart 和 Alex Pall 組成。他們創作和製作歌曲，並經常邀請客座歌手。從無人問津，瞧不起，一路到千萬追蹤的 DJ製作人/歌手，非常的不容易。這對搭檔憑藉 2014 年的熱門歌曲 “#Selfie” 聲名鵲起，然後憑藉他們的熱門歌曲 “Roses” 和首張 EP《Bouquet》闖入主流。
在 2016 年 7 月由 Andrew Taggart 和美國創作歌手 Halsey 共同發行的單曲 “Closer” 中得到了證明，火爆全球， “Closer” 也成為 The Chainsmokers 和 Halsey 最著名的歌曲。2016 年被證明是 The Chainsmokers 最具突破性的一年，原創歌曲 “Don’t Let Me Down” 和 “Closer” 均獲得白金認證，並以三項格萊美提名結束了他們迄今為止最成功的一年，並憑藉 “Don’t Let Me Down” 贏得了一項格萊美最佳舞蹈錄音獎。隨後幾年發行的專輯及單曲都能輕鬆登上 Billboard Hot 100 排行中。
