《 smiling in insomnia 》 是 eaJ 在2023年2月3日發表的首張 EP，共收錄五首歌曲。
eaJ 在 EP 發表後，在他的 TikTok 上公開他創作這首 “sober go away” 的動機。是因為他在一月份的時候染上了用酒精去麻痺自己的習慣，而這個新嗜好嚇壞了他，因為他也知道這樣的自己生活的很糟糕。 從他意識到錯誤之後，他開始尋求正確的幫助，並努力改掉這個壞習慣。
