“New Normal” 這首歌是新生代 R&B 小天王 Khalid 在2021年7月21日發表的單曲。而 Khalid 也預計在同年12月發表他的新專輯 《 EVERYTHING IS CHANGING 》 。
Khalid 在 Rolling Stone 的採訪中提到關於這首歌的靈感，是來自他對外太空的神祕感著迷。然而太空旅行也是他一直很感興趣的話題。 在他得理解中這個項目是即將到來的嶄新的、後現代未來的一項新技術，這讓他感到興奮。而當這一天到來的時候，這將會是一種 “新常態 New Normal “。
Khalid（全名：Khalid Donnel Robinson）出生於 1998 年 2 月 11 日。歐美流量名媛 Kylie Jenner 在她的 Snapchat 上展示了 Khalid 在 2016 年的熱門歌曲 “Location” 之後，Khalid 成為了德克薩斯州的著名 R&B 藝術家。 Khalid 的音樂也開始進入了主流市場，他在高中畢業幾個月後就簽約了 RCA Records，並於 2017 年 3 月 3 日發行了他的首張專輯《American Teen》。這張專輯收錄了兩首成功的單曲，前面提到的 “Location”，“ Young Dumb & Broke” 和另一首單曲 “Saved”。
