Eric Nam 是一位韓裔美國歌手和詞曲作者，目前活躍在韓國。他於1988年11月17日出生於 Atlanta, Georgia，有兩個弟弟。他曾就讀於波士頓大學，主修國際研究，輔修亞洲研究，並曾在中國北京的北京大學留學一年。
畢業後，他在紐約的一家公司從事商業分析師的日常工作，同時在 YouTube 進行歌曲翻唱。後來韓國的 MBC 注意到他的翻唱並受邀參加一個音樂節目。隨後於2013年憑藉首張專輯《 CLOUD 9 》 出道。
